Hey you guys,

In case nobody knows already, Windows 7 has a really cool feature called "GodMode".   If you haven't heard of it, GodMode is a feature that brings together a long list of customization settings allowing you to change all your settings from one place. Neat huh? It's very easy to enable and damn useful if you tweak things around a lot.

Just follow these 5 simple steps:

Step 1: Right click.

Step 2: Click create folder.

Step 3: Name your sparkly, new folder this, "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" and press enter. (without the quotation marks)
Step 4: Blink as the folder changes form to look like the control panel.

Step 5: Open the folder and bask in all your godly, control panel-y power.

Simple, easy, and awfully useful.

Chris (HellBound)

From what I understand, the most common mistake is leaving out the period between the e and {.  If there are any syntax errors in the name, I believe it won't work.  Try doing a copy and paste from what Chris has there...can't do that from a video  Cool

Perhaps posting something like "This video might help" as text along with the video, instead of "worthless without video." would have sounded better to the thread creator and people that read it.  Here, let me help you with that...

I've done the code and everything and it is really cool but does it do anything useful or can the same thing be accomplished by creating a control panel shortcut on the desktop?

Well, if you created a Control Panel shortcut on the desktop, you still have to figure out which Control Panel option to go into to make your setting(s) changes.  GodMode has all of  your options right there, at your fingertips....   Its more of a convinence thing than anything....
