I barely remember this headset. Looks like they didn't last very long. After that, I never did go for combining headphone and mic again. You can use anything for a mic pretty much, which is what I do, but you do want a decent set of headphones. I always found a certain model of Koss headphones from Walmart to be an excellent value for about $20, when you consider how long they last, and how good they sound. Sorry, I don't have the model number, but they lasted me well over 5 years, and when they finally went out, Walmart had another pair on the shelves for about the same $20, as far as I remember. These are wired, over the ear type headphones. Looking at Walmart.com, Koss has several offerings now. I'm not in the market at the moment, but if I were, I would certainly risk $25 or $30 on Koss before throwing away $50 or $60 on Logitech. |

I have arrived in beautiful San Diego, been here over a month actually. It'll be awhile before I get back behind a gaming keyboard. The last surviving machine is in a storage space, and I'll be lucky if I can get it out and back online later on this year, 2014 (God, I hope so). |

There is no rush. I'm going away in a week. Not sure how long I'll be gone actually. It will probably be months. |

I could have sworn I replied to this...Ah, I see now that was a PM. Yes, those 2 plugins are working great. In the meantime, I've noticed a couple of other things that are fairly crucial: AFK management. I thought we had some plugins for this before, but there don't seem to be any now. There are different alternatives out there, I suggest the 2 I've been using for years, along with their settings. I use 2 different plugins, one for general AFK and one specifically for when the bomb carrier is AFK. This is the AFK manager:https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=708265. Unfortunately for some reason I don't have the source for the one I use, but looking at the page, it seems like I'm using an older version - mine doesn't have auto-updater, colors, etc. I've attached the .cfg file that I use. The stock .cfg file created by the plugin has some whacky settings. You'll need the DHooks extension to make that work: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=180114. AFKBomb: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1429371?p=1429371. It's a good plugin, except it doesn't have it's own .cfg file. I just put the settings in server.cfg: Code: [ Select all ]
The most important one is the admin-allspec. As it stands now, admins can't spectate players on the other team. You used to be able to, but they changed that a few years back. It does leave a chance for admin abuse, but the only alternative for admins is to either spectate (not play) or join the other team, and those suck in my opinion. I used an admin-only message in my advertisements to discourage admins from using the plugin to gain a tactical advantage. Admin-allspec: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1685318 |

I was just checking out the server, and have a couple of plugin suggestions. One is public: [CS:S] Bot2Player which allows players to take over BOTs after they died. That's one of my babies. I've got another baby which isn't published, but it is modified version of a published plugin. Mine is called Cheers! and let's players make sounds after certain winning events. Great way for players that don't have mic to express themselves audibly. It's attached (don't forget to whitelist the custom sounds). BBT, please take a look at these when you get a chance. Thanks ![]() |

That's the Bittersweet character, and I still have the account, but I don't really use it. I'll PM you the SteamID for Dane_Bramage. |

Hey buddy, I'm hanging in there. I still have that character/account, but I've got a new one now and play as Dane_Bramage. I didn't know you had a CS:S server, I thought you shut that down back when you started a CS:GO server. I'll bookmark it and put some time in there. |

...or actually it's online in a very small LAN. The internet can't see it right now, that's the only access I have from where I'm at. Hopefully we'll be back soon. In the meantime, any redirect server space that is being unused can be used for something else if need be (urdedgamers, com). In the meantime, any CS players that don't have favorite servers, I recommend the servers at www.dhgamers.com |

Well, I'm sure I've seen his posts on alliedmods.net, but I was also thinking possibly in-game way back in COD 1 days. | |
